DDF Glycolic Cleanser
Originally named Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula, DDF Skincare was created in 1995. They product professional grade anti acne and anti aging products. Today, they have a wide range of skin care products on the market, including several which are glycolic based. But does DDF glycolic cleanser live up to its promise of being the ideal solution to “Cleanse. Protect. Treat.” or does this product fall short? Let’s find out…
The Products
There are actually several DDF glycolic cleansers out there. Here’s a brief review of each:
DDF Glycolic Daily Cleansing Pads: For those that desire a cleansing pad, each jar comes with 60 pads that are soaked in a 5% glycolic solution. It is said to be a convenient way to cleanse your skin throughout the day. It also contains aloe vera to help moisturize and replenish the skin.
DDF Glycolic 5% Exfoliating Wash: This product comes in an 8.5 ounce bottle and is a more gentle 5% solution of glycolic. It’s designed to give normal to oily skin ultra deep cleansing, yet still be gentle enough to use daily.
DDF Glycolic 10% Body Lotion: The great part about lotions is that they are a cost effective way to apply product to large areas of the body, such as your neck, chest, legs, arms, etc. What makes this DDF skin care product is that it also contains vitamin E to help fight off free radical damage. Being that it is a 10% solution, it is an effective strength for exfoliating the skin to reveal a more even and improve skin texture.
DDF Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Moisturizer: This is a moisturizer which uses a stronger 10% concentration of glycolic cleanser. It comes in a 1.7 ounce jar, which is a fairly standard size for creams and serums. What makes this product especially unique is that it contains other ingredients like zinc, vitamin E, and antioxidants. This is one of the most popular DDF glycolic cleansers they currently make.
DDF Glycolic 10% Toning Complex: For those that like using a cleansing toner, the DDF glycolic 10% toning complex is an 8.5 ounce bottle to do just that. It is reportedly great at getting rid of excess oil and leaving the skin radient and rejuvenated.
DDF Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Oil Control Gel: This special gel comes in a 1.67 ounce bottle and is made to help you exfoliate dead skin cells as well as surface toxins. What makes this DDF glycolic cleanser so unique is that it also incorporates zinc as well as salicylic acid (which is an excellent acne fighter).
The Verdict?
It’s not by accident that DDF skin care products are so popular. DDF glycolic cleanser is a product that keeps customers coming back for more. Not only do they use excellent ingredients, but they are also very reasonably priced in comparison to most other brands in their league.
